The couple, who have 18-month-old daughter North together, were reportedly arguing over where to celebrate the holidays, as the reality TV star wanted to stay at her mother Kris Jenner‘s home in Los Angeles, but she has now agreed to jet off with her husband.

A source said: “Kanye was adamant that Kim and North spend the Christmas holiday together, away from all of the holiday insanity of the Kardashians. The last thing Kanye wanted to do is spend the holidays with Kim’s entire family.”

The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ beauty, 34, flew to New York City on Sunday night (12.21.14) with the rapper, 37, and North, and they are “expected to remain there for the next few days, and then go to Paris.”

But the insider told gossip website RadarOnline.com: “Kim is still hopeful that Kanye will agree to figure out a way to return to Southern California to spend part of the holidays with her family. The problem for Kanye is that Kris’ house is just overrun with so many people.”

The couple, who got married in Italy last May, were forced to spend Thanksgiving apart last month because Kanye was working on his upcoming album in the French capital.

The ‘New Slaves’ hitmaker, who has had an apartment in Paris for more than three years, previously admitted he feels more at home in the city than LA.

During an interview last year, he said: “In Paris, you’re as far as possible from the land of pleasant smiles. You can just trip on inspiration — there are so many people here who dedicate their lives to excellence.”
